Description: A solitary, amphibious predator. Hydra only seek out their own kind during the breeding season, and shortly after mating, the male leaves the female to guard the eggs. Once they hatch, the female leaves them to fend for themselves.
Hydra rarely hunt land prey unless they venture to near the water where they live. The head on the left and the one on the right hold onto prey, while the one in the middle tears it apart and feeds.
